“Trout”, 3 E.V. with an A.P. and 4 S.P., 2017; 12” x 9” double-plate etched print with hard line etch, aquatint, and soap ground, printed with archival oil-based ink

This was my second project in my Etching class during college. The final print is made with two plates. The first plate just has the line-work etching of the fish, and the second plate was etching using a soap ground.

• 1/4 E.V.: edition varied 9” x 12” intaglio double-plate print using archival oil based ink on a 15” x 12” piece of bright white etching paper (so 1.5” white border), printed in 2017, signed and editioned (3 total printed and available) (E.V. 1=Mint E.V. 3=Blue E.V. 4=Turquoise)

• S.P. 1-4: 12” x 9” sequential proofs intaglio print using archival oil based ink on a 14” x 11” piece of newsprint paper (1” white border), printed in 2017, signed and editioned (4 S.P.s are available. Since on newsprint, paper has a wrinkled texture but print is still clear.)
